If you would like to commission a portrait, please contact Maria to discuss your requirements. The cost will depend on the size of the portrait, its complexity, and the number of sitters. Maria can send you a quote upon request.

 An initial sitting is needed, during which Maria will spend some time getting to know the sitter, make preliminary sketches, and take reference photos. A short contract will need to be completed prior to this sitting, which serves to protect both artist and client. A deposit of one-third of the total fee is required before work on the commission can begin.

 Assuming that the reference material is sufficient, Maria is usually able to complete the portrait from this single sitting. However, if the portrait is more complicated, another sitting may be required. Initial compositional sketches can be view before the portrait is undertaken.
